Suspended!

This is odd: I went to log on (after a long while) to my free Polaroid Studio account and read that I have been suspended. "This account has been suspended because it is NOT in Good Standing." Indeed!

It looks like I have a choice to "restore" my album for free, but I am hesitant to do so.

Anybody know what's up with this? I haven't been suspended since high school.

PolaroidStudio.com is closed as of Wednesday May 11th, 2011.

All accounts, photos and videos will remain available until Tuesday May 31, 2011 at which time they will be deleted forever. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience but we simply cannot afford to continue to provide this service.

We recommend one of the following options:

1. Register for an account at www.dotPhoto.com and upload your photos to that service. If you are a current PolaroidStudio club member, go to this page, enter your PolaroidStudio username and email address and dotPhoto will give you $10 store credit and also honor the remainder of your club membership.

2. Download all of your photos by purchasing an archive DVD. This product is normally $24.95 but we have reduced the price to our cost of $15.00 as a convenience for you.

Please note, your photos will not be available as of May 31, 2011. This is not a decision we have taken lightly and again apologize for the inconvenience.

Guess they should have stuck to Instant.

Steve

Thanks for letting us know and sorry it didn't work out. But it was something worth trying.

I thought it was just something I had done.

All - Steve is a dedicated aficionado of instant and analog, (and other) imaging and a friend of New55.

Once we needed a "good standing" certificate for our business and could not get one because the Commonwealth of Mass messed up a tax report. It wasn't our fault but cost a lot of money and time to fix. Anyway we worked it out.

Steve, what's next for your ventures?

Bob

Blogger went down and comments were lost including those from Polaroid Studio. Regrets but blogger sometimes loses things.

Thanks for offering this service and sorry it did not work out.
